This downloadable guide includes two weeks worth of games, activities and guidance to help support children from the ages of 4-11 with handwriting. The guide includes:

  • a video presentation where Daisy and Liz explain clearly how the guide works and how to play the 2 weeks worth of games in multiple ways with working examples.

  • A PDF version of the presentation with clickable links, so that you can access all of the games and activities from the presentation at any time.

  • Printables and templates for some of the games (a printer is NOT necessary in order to play the games - we include options for all)

  • Information about stages of handwriting, pencil grip, pre-writing shapes, letter formation families, left-handers and how handwriting is taught at school plus ways you can easily support your child with this crucial skill at home.

This guide has been specially designed by an experienced teacher and teaching assistant who are both also busy parents. Daisy and Liz have both taught handwriting in a school setting and are converting these techniques to make it easy to do at home. Handwriting is a big area of school life and your child’s ability to write legibly will help with many areas of their learning. That’s where this guide comes in!

It includes options for all kinds of learners - for active kids who like to move around, to those that prefer sitting and quietly doing an activity. We have covered it all with multi-sensory options. It is also ideal for children with SEND who face different challenges, as we provide 14 different ways to play to make sure every child can have fun with handwriting!

As always with a 2 Weeks 2 learn guide, the set ups for activities are quick and simple, and use stuff you will most likely already have in your home. Are you looking for a way to support your child with writing at home? Then this 2 Weeks 2 Learn Handwriting is the guide for you!
